BALLARAT & SOVEREIGN HILL TOUR
Join us on a day journey that travels through Central Victoria to the regional town of Ballarat established in 1850’s during the great gold rush of that era. Ballarat has many historic stately buildings, miner’s cottages and wide tree-lined avenues. The gold caused the owners of heavy industry and small merchants to establish themselvers and to prosper.
Today the City of Ballarat is one of Australia’s largest inland cities and is the third largest city in Victoria. Ballarat is located in the Western District, a rich and fertile farming region and is a key strategic position at the centre of some of Victoria's most important freight, tourist and commuter transport routes.
Sovereign Hill just 1.5 hours from Melbourne is an outdoor museum on the site of the Ballarat goldfields. A replica of an 1850’s gold-mining town with over 60 buildings, horse-drawn carriages, and a creek where you can pan for gold. Good Luck!
